Arthur was the legendary British leader from many medieval histories and romances, usually associated with the wizard Merlin, Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table, and his magical sword Excalibur, which was embedded in a stone until Arthur managed to pull it out, fulfilling a prophecy about his future.
Alex and Mother Goose met a young Arthur, who was training with Merlin, and who had yet to pull the sword out of the stone. Alex fell in love with Arthur and had to leave him when she went back to the fairy tale world.
Biography[]
Helping Alex and Mother Goose[]
Alex, Mother Goose and Lester arrived in a story about King Arthur by mistake. They stumbled upon Arthur and Merlin, who were training together. They shared their story with them. Alex then realized that she could make a Portal Potion to get them back to The Land of Stories. The potion took two weeks to make, and Alex and Arthur used this time to get very well acquainted. As the two weeks were nearly over, Mother Goose announced that she wanted to stay with Merlin. Alex had been secretly thinking about staying with Arthur too, but knew she had to get back so she could save The Land of Stories. They said a tough goodbye, and Alex left with Lester.
Arthur had been very distracted and depressed since Alex left his story. Merlin and Mother Goose tried to help him move on from Alex and encouraged him to keep training. When Mother Goose attempted to give him words of advice, Arthur misinterpreted them as Mother Goose's promise to take him to Alex after fulfilling his destiny, if he still missed her then.
Helping Alex and Fighting the Witches[]
Arthur found out that Alex was in trouble when she contacted him in a dream, so he worked very hard just so he could see her again because he still cared about her very much.
Arthur, after completing his legend at a young age (including assembling a Round Table of teenage Knights), goes into the fairy tale world to find Alex, and quarreled with Rook (Alex's old crush) and Conner. He helps with fighting the witches in New York. His orders were initially rejected by Robin Hood, who didn't know his status; but when Arthur reveals himself as the King of England, Robin accepts Arthur's leadership happily.
After defeating the witches Arthur is depressed that he has to return to his world but Alex says he can return if he finds the Holy Grail. He says he will do it in two months...
Physical Appearance[]
"The man was tall and muscular. He wore a red shirt, a brown leather vest, and a knight's helmet. He carried a shield and a wooden sword."[1]
Arthur was portrayed as a tall, muscular, attractive young man with tanned skin, blue eyes, and medium-length sandy-blonde hair cut to his shoulders. He wears a typical knight outfit with a red shirt, a long purple cape, and metal armor that covers his legs and arms.
Personality[]
Arthur was a young man training to be the next King of England with the wizard Merlin. He was very polite, playful and flirty towards Alex. He was also very excited and interested to hear about the existence of other dimensions and the places Alex had been to. When they talked about Arthur's future and the prophecy of him becoming a legendary king, he admitted to Alex he was afraid people would be disappointed in him.[2] Alex could relate to that, as she also felt that pressure when she became Fairy Godmother.
He took delight in pestering Alex about the things she knew from his 'story', but later admitted that he actually knew all about it already. When Alex asked him why he stayed on the path of his destiny knowing he would suffer and have his heart broken, he said becoming the king the people deserved was worth the sacrifice.[3]

Relationships[]
Merlin[]
Arthur described Merlin as his "friend", and was later mentioned as Merlin's "apprentice".
Alexandra Bailey[]
Arthur fell in love with Alex in the two weeks they spent together. They kissed and were mentioned to wake up in each other's arms in the mornings.[4] On the day Alex planned to travel back, Arthur was not there to say goodbye, but Alex went to find him. He offered to go with her, and to let 'other versions' of his story fulfill the legends about him. Alex refused and left by herself, though both of them were heartbroken. Alex knew that she had to leave so Arthur could have the future he was destined for.[5]
