As an infant, she was found by Sleeping Beauty hidden in a chest covered in rubble, following the destruction of her village by the Grande Armée,

Biography[]

Pre-Adoption[]

Ash Charming was born to unknown parents in a village in the Eastern Kingdom, following the Enchantress' Sleeping Curse and return. Prior to being adopted by the monarchs of the Eastern Kingdom, Ash had an unknown name, if any.

Found in the Ashes of her Village[]

A small chest was buried under a pile of debris that had fallen from the ceiling. Jack and Goldilocks helped Sleeping Beauty lift the rubble off the chest and open the lid. An infant girl had been hidden inside the chest and was surely the sole survivor of the Grande Armée's raid.

— The circumstances surrounding the discovery of Ash in her burnt village[1]

While on the hidden path, Sleeping Beauty reveals to the other passengers of her carriage that the Sleeping Curse left her and many other women in the Eastern Kingdom barren, leaving a great amount of heartbreak in many women of her kingdom, including herself.

Shortly after, the caravan on the hidden path came upon the ruins of a village that had been ransacked and burned by the Grande Armée, leaving no survivors but an infant girl hidden in a chest buried under a severe load of rubble. Once the girl is recovered, Sleeping Beauty and her husband King Chase Charming immediately decide to adopt her and name her Ash, after the ashes that surrounded her.
