King Chance Charming is the well-known fairy tale character also named "Prince Charming" from the fairy tale Cinderella, who meets his future wife at a royal ball but loses her as she flees at midnight, leaving behind a glass slipper. He finds her again by making all young women in the kingdom try on the glass slipper.
At the start of The Wishing Spell, King Chance Charming and Queen Cinderella are married, and Cinderella is pregnant.
Biography[]
King Chance does not play a very large part in the books. He is mostly just mentioned as being "by Queen Cinderella's side". He is captured by Ezmia along with the other kings and queens in The Enchantress Returns, and saved by Alex. In A Grimm Warning, he joins the other royals on the hidden path and is captured by the Grande Armée when they are betrayed. He fights alongside his brothers in the battle against the army.
In Beyond the Kingdoms, he attends Queen Red Riding Hood and Froggy's (almost) wedding.[1] Later, Sir Lampton mentions that the kingdom was attacked by Winkies and that he is unsure what happened to the royal family.[2]
In An Authors Odyssey Chance is rescued when he is about to be executed by "The Emperor".
He and his brothers (except for Froggy) play a much large role in Goldilocks: Wanted Dead or Alive, where he is the main antagonist.
Physical Appearance[]
“ | King Charming was the definition of dashing. He was every bit as handsome as any description ever written about him. He had a mesmerizing smile and thick, wavy hair under a large, golden crown. He could easily have been a movie star back in the twins' world. | ” |

Personality[]
“ | I don't know who you are, but you're not the man I married! My husband was a kind and compassionate leader. His reign was about helping people and lifting them up! He would have never dreamed of slaughtering an entire population to expand his kingdom! | ” |

Chance was typically a kind compassionate ruler, who cared for his people and rulers greatly. However,he could also be slightly power hungry and his determination to make a better world for his daughter and fulfill his promise to his father drove him to do an unjust thing that he would never typically do.
Relationships[]
King Chance Charming is the first-born son of King Chester Charming. His brothers are all "Princes Charmings" from other well-known fairytales.
