Description[]
The dragons of the Land of Stories were fierce and dangerous creatures. They used to terrorize the entire world- so much that the time in which they lived was called the Dragon Age.
Dragon eggs were hatched in extreme heat. They used to prefer to lay their eggs in the volcanoes in the Eastern Kingdom to hatch them in the magma[1]. This was also where the Masked Man lead General Marquis to hatch his dragon egg.
Dragons later went extinct[2] - they were all killed when the elves and fairies teamed up to fight them and make the lands safe again. The Dragon Age ended to make way for the Age of Magic. Mother Goose claimed to have wrestled 'many dragons in her day', though she later admitted those were only small ones.[3] According to her, the Fairy Godmother was the only one who knew how to kill them. She was the one who killed the newly hatched dragon of the Masked Man.
History[]
The Dragon Age was a dark period of the Land of Stories history. Lands were ruled by tyrant kings and evil sorcerers and tormented by dragons.[4] The Dragon Age lasted roughly from the Middle Ages to the end of the Renaissance in Our World (5th-17th century), though time still moved a lot slower in the Land of Stories before Alex and Conner were born.
