In-Universe Policy |
The Basic Regulations must always be followed. |
General InformationAfter a small discussion staff has come to a decision that all articles written about places, things, or people contained within the current "canon" continuity of the worlds mentioned and traveled to in the Land of Stories must be written from an "in-universe" perspective rather than from a real world perspective. Example(s)An example would be "Queen Red Riding Hood plays a major role in the Land of Stories series" which should be changed to "Queen Red Riding Hood was an important figure in the Center Kingdom and the whole Fairytale world". This policy does not apply for subjects considered real-world such as Brandon Dorman, Chris Colfer, etc. Subjects that exist both in the real world and in the Land of Stories universe should still be written about from an "in-universe" perspective, some examples are London, Kansas, New York City, etc. ReferencesInstead of mentioning the books that the information is sourced from simply use references. Images & FanartFanart is considered non-canon meaning it can only be posted on user pages and in the discussions (as well as in forums, blog posts, and Discord). If you wish to share images do so on Discord, the discussions, forums, blog posts, etc. Past Tense RuleWith this new policy a new rule will be introduced where you must use past tense while editing as all events that take place in the books happened in the past. An example would be "Mistress Mara is the headmistress and founder of Ravencrest School of Witchcraft," should be changed to "Mistress Mara was the headmistress and founder of Ravencrest School of Witchcraft." This is a small but necessary change.
Behind the Scenes/TriviaBehind the Scenes sections should be included on every page (if necessary). The quotes section should be included as a subheading for the Behind the Scenes section. |
