Characteristics[]
The Righteous Empire was ruled by Prince “Seven” Gallivant and controlled the empire with his Army of the Dead. He immediately dissolved the Southern Kingdom’s military and replaced it with the Army of the Dead. He also took away he Justices’ power and gave their positions to clansmen in the Righteous Brotherhood. The “Righteous Emperor “ as he was now called, created a new constitution based on the Brotherhood’s strict Righteous Philosophy. Under these new laws, all schools and churches were closed, and all markets and shops were border up- food was distributed only at the Emperor’s will. All the talking creatures, ( elves, dwarfs, trolls, goblins, and ogres) were exiled and banned from returning. The borders were closed permanently and all communication with the neighboring kingdoms was forbidden. No one was allowed outside after nightfall, and it was illegal for people to gather except for with their immediate family. All forms of art, music, theater, etc. were banned. Citizens were only allowed to wear the drab black uniforms they were provided with, and private homes were often searched for jewelry, money, weapons, and any other valuables and were taken as donations to the empire. The Righteous Emperor’s dead soldiers patrolled the streets around the clock to enforce the new laws and didn’t hesitate to make gruesome examples out of those who disobeyed the laws. The law regarding Magic was the most severe change to the constitution, and the Empire sentenced people to death for sympathizing with magic. The Righteous Emperor was eventually defeated after less than 2 years on the throne by the Fairy Council.
