Alex, Conner, Queen Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Jack, Mother Goose, Lester and the Tin Woodman planned to catch the Masked Man at Winkie Country when he attempted to recruit the Wicked Witch for his army; however, when they arrived there, the Wicked Witch was already gone. Blubo, a young flying monkey that remained at the castle, told them how the Masked Man told the Witch that he had killed the Wicked Witch of the East and had taken her silver shoes, and if she wanted them, she'd have to come with him.[3] She helped the Masked Man trap Conner, Peter Pan and the Tin Woodman into the book about Robin Hood, and burned the book along with their copy of Alice in Wonderland with her magical umbrella.[4]
Then along with the rest of the literary army, she and her flying monkeys attack the land of stories.
